Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Remote | Full-Time | Product Engineering

We decode player emotions and behaviors using advanced neuro-behavioral AI. Trusted by top gaming studios, we are building a next-generation platform that helps mobile game developers and digital product teams test, optimize, and launch experiences that trigger the intended user reactions.

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help us build, scale, and improve the core platform powering our AI-driven research, analytics, and product testing workflows.

This is not a role for someone who waits for fully defined tickets or only executes assigned tasks. We are looking for a mature engineer who can take ownership, clarify ambiguity, challenge weak assumptions, identify technical and product risks, and help the team move faster while maintaining high engineering standards.

You will work across frontend and backend systems, helping transform complex behavioral and emotional data into clear, reliable, and actionable insights for our customers. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and leadership to ship high-quality product experiences used by leading game studios.

What You'll Do

  • Own the delivery of full-stack product features from technical discovery through release and post-release improvements.
  • Design and build scalable frontend and backend systems using Vue.js, TypeScript, Python, Django, and FastAPI.
  • Develop responsive, reliable, and intuitive web applications for analytics, research workflows, dashboards, reports, and data-heavy user experiences.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs that support platform features, research workflows, integrations, and AI-driven insights.
  • Work with asynchronous processing systems such as Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis, and related backend infrastructure.
  • Build and improve dashboards, reporting tools, filters, data visualizations, and workflows that help users understand complex behavioral and emotional data.
  • Implement real-time or near-real-time features using WebSockets, streaming, polling, or event-driven approaches where appropriate.
  • Improve application performance, reliability, observability, and maintainability across frontend and backend layers.
  • Review product requirements, designs, and technical plans to identify unclear logic, edge cases, scalability risks, and implementation gaps before development starts.
  • Collaborate with QA to improve testability, reduce regressions, and support reliable release validation.
  • Participate actively in architecture discussions, code reviews, sprint planning, and technical decision-making.
  • Proactively identify areas where the platform, codebase, workflows, or team processes can be improved and help drive those improvements.
  • Help raise the engineering bar by bringing structure, ownership, and pragmatic technical leadership to the team.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and backend frameworks such as Django and/or FastAPI.
  • Strong experience with Vue.js and modern frontend development using JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Experience building and maintaining production-grade REST APIs and backend services.
  • Strong understanding of frontend-backend interaction, data flows, permissions, validation, error handling, and API design.
  • Experience working on data-heavy applications, analytics platforms, dashboards, reporting systems, internal tools, B2B SaaS platforms, or complex product workflows.
  • Ability to understand complex product logic and translate it into clean, maintainable, user-focused technical solutions.
  • Experience with asynchronous processing, background jobs, queues, and distributed system patterns using tools such as Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis, or similar.
  • Good understanding of relational databases, query performance, data modeling, and backend optimization.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote startup environment with ambiguity, changing priorities, and limited hand-holding.
  • High ownership mentality: you care about product outcomes, not just completing tickets.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical teammates.
  • Pragmatic engineering mindset: you can balance speed, quality, maintainability, and business needs.
  • A proactive attitude: you naturally ask "what should happen next?", "what could break?", and "how can we make this better?"

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Quasar, Tailwind CSS, RxJS, or similar frontend tools.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, or other data-intensive storage systems.
  • Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, ECharts, or similar.
  • Experience with WebSockets, real-time updates, event-driven systems, or streaming data.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML products, research tools, experimentation platforms, or behavioral analytics systems.
  • Experience working with k8s, GCS or similar infrastructure.
  • Experience mentoring other engineers or improving engineering processes in a growing startup environment.

Our Engineering Stack

  • Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue 3, Quasar 2, Tailwind CSS, RxJS
  • Backend: Python, Django, FastAPI, Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse
  • Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Google Cloud
  • Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana

Why Join Us

  • Real ownership: you will have a direct impact on product architecture, technical direction, and delivery quality.
  • High-impact product: your work will shape a platform used by leading game studios to understand player behavior and improve digital experiences.
  • Complex, meaningful challenges: work at the intersection of AI, gaming, behavioral science, analytics, and product optimization.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with engineering, product, research, design, QA, and leadership.
  • Remote-first team: work from anywhere with teammates across Cyprus, Germany, Poland, Serbia, Portugal, and beyond.
  • Low bureaucracy, high trust: we value people who take initiative, communicate clearly, and move things forward.
  • Opportunity to raise the bar: help us build stronger engineering practices, improve delivery speed, and create a product culture based on ownership and quality.

About You

You are the kind of engineer who does not need to be pushed to make progress.

You clarify what is unclear, break down complex problems, and move work forward independently. You think beyond the ticket, understand the user impact of what you build, and care about whether the solution actually works in production.

You are comfortable with ambiguity, but you do not use ambiguity as an excuse to wait. You ask good questions, propose solutions, and help the team make better decisions.

You are hands-on, pragmatic, and reliable. You can move fast, but you also understand when quality, maintainability, and architecture matter.

If you want to help build a serious product in a cutting-edge domain and you bring the ownership needed to make things happen, we would like to hear from you.
